Front cover view
Niche decorated with colored painting on Nile-mud covered with a layer of plaster: Christ Enthroned seated on a fiery chariot, on each side of the chariot there is a figure of a Living-Creature of the Apocalypse.

This scene surrounded by two Archangels Michael and Gabriel, and two faces, the bright one probably symbolizing the sun and the dark one the moon.  In the lower section, the Holy Virgin Mary is represented carrying the Infant and flanked by twelve Apostles, together with two local Saints, one on each end.

The name of each disciple is written in Coptic over the figure.  5th century.
